RRC-NWR Apprentice Recruitment 2025 – Complete Notification

Railway Recruitment Cell, North Western Railway (RRC-NWR) has released a detailed notification for the engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 for the year 2025-26. This recruitment offers a big opportunity for you to gain apprenticeship training in various railway workshops and units under NWR.

Vacancy & Trades Offered

The notification covers many trades across multiple railway units/divisions under NWR. Some sample trades are:

• Electrician (Coaching, Power, TRD)
• Carpenter (Engineering / Mechanical)
• Mason, Painter, Pipe Fitter, Fitter (C&W)
• Diesel Mechanic, Machinist, Welder, Plumber etc.
• Trades in Carriage Works, Loco Sheds, Workshops in divisions like Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur, Jodhpur and more. 

Each trade has reserved slots under UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS categories, and some slots for PwBD & Ex-Servicemen.

The total of 2162 training slots is provisional and may be increased or decreased.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational & Technical Qualification

• You must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) with a minimum 50% aggregate from a recognized board.
• You must hold a valid National Trade Certificate (NTC) / ITI Certificate in the trade applied (from NCVT or SCVT).
• You are  awaiting ITI result you will not be eligible.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 15 years as on the closing date.
• Maximum Age: 24 years as on the closing date (02 November 2025). 
• Relaxations:
   • SC/ST: +5 years
   • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years
   • PwBD: +10 years
   • Ex-Servicemen: as per guidelines (service years + 3 yrs) 

Fees, Training & Stipend

• Application Fee: ₹100 (for all except SC/ST, PwBD & Women, where the fee is Nil).
• Fee payment mode: Online Payment Gateway via RRC Jaipur portal.
• Stipend & Training period will be as per extant Railway Board rules and Apprentices Act 1961.
• No hostel accommodation is provided; you are responsible for your own lodging during training.

Selection Process & Merit Criteria

• Selection will be purely on a merit basis according to the formula:

 Merit Score = Average of (Matriculation % + ITI Trade %). 

• In case of a tie, the older candidate is preferred. If the date of birth same, then who have passed matriculation earlier gets priority.
• The final merit list will be division/unit-wise, trade-wise, and category-wise.
• Document Verification and Medical test will be held at the selected unit/division after the merit list.
• A contract of apprenticeship will need to be signed before the start of training.
• Being an apprentice doesn’t guarantee job absorption into the Railways.

4. You can select one unit/workshop where training is available in your trade
5. You can upload scanned documents (Matriculation, ITI / Trade Certificate, Caste / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen certificates)
6. You can pay application fee (if applicable)
7. You can submit application before 02 November 2025, 23:59 Hrs.
8. You can Keep a printout of the submitted form for future reference

Important Note: You can apply Multiple applications or changes after submission will be rejected.

Important Conditions & Instructions

• The number of training slots is provisional and may change as per the Railway’s requirement.
• You must produce original certificates at the time of document verification or risk disqualification.
• Any false or fake documents discovered will lead to you cancellation at any stage. 
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending document verification.
• Canvassing in any form is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification.
• Once training begins, you are bound by the terms of the apprenticeship contract.
