The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) 2025 has released a detailed notification for multiple posts across various departments and public sector organizations. Notes:

• Fee is non-refundable.
• If you are specially-abled you cannot apply for Assistant Traffic Inspector (NWKRTC) or Administrator (KKRTC) posts.

4. Eligibility Criteria

General Conditions

• You are a Indian citizen.
• You are mentally and physically healthy, free from defects affecting performance.
• No prior permanent debarment from any government recruitment or exams.
• No conviction for moral turpitude; ethical misconduct may result in disqualification.
• If you are a married female and male with multiple living spouses require prior government permission.

Age Relaxation / Special Categories

• Ex-servicemen: Reserved as per government rules, certificate required.
• Rural Candidates: If you are studied in rural school (Class 10–12) and possess Form-1 & Form-2 certificates.
• Kannada Medium Candidates: Studied in Kannada medium from Class 1–10; certificate required.
• Specially Gifted / PwD: Minimum 40% disability; certificate from Medical Authority required.
• Third Gender Candidates: 1% posts reserved; certificate from District Magistrate needed.
• Project Displaced Candidates: Certificate from Tahsildar required as per government orders.

6. Competitive Examination

Exam Pattern

• Mode: Offline OMR type
• Centres: Bangalore, Mysore, Davangere, Dakshina Kannada, Shivamogga, Belgaum, Dharwad, Bellary, Koppal, Vijayapura, Tumkur, Kalaburagi
• Identification: Original ID required (PAN, Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, Govt ID)

Syllabus

Group B Posts: Junior Programmer, Assistant Engineer

• Paper-1: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Science & Technology, Indian & Karnataka History & Geography, Constitution, Economy, Logical Ability – 300 marks
• Paper-2: Subject-specific technical papers – 300 marks

Group C/D Posts: Assistant Traffic Inspector, Administrator, Junior Engineer, First Class Assistant, Librarian, Accountant

• Paper-1: General Knowledge, Social Science, Environment, Karnataka economy – 100 marks
• Paper-2: Kannada, English, Computer Knowledge – 100 marks

Compulsory Kannada Test:

• 150 marks, minimum 50 to qualify (exempted for candidates with Kannada studied in SSLC or equivalent).

Passing Marks:

• General posts: ≥35%
• NWKRTC & KKRTC posts: ≥30%

Negative Marking: ¼ mark deducted for each wrong answer.

7. Selection Procedure

• Merit-based selection combining:
  • 75% marks in General Aptitude Test
  • 25% marks from educational qualifications
• If you are shortlisted you are called for document verification and physical fitness.

8. Important Instructions

• You can upload recent photograph and signature (JPEG format) with specified file sizes.
• No correspondence will be entertained without Application Number & Post Name.
• You are already in service you must submit No Objection Certificates.
• Any submission of fake documents or misleading information leads to criminal proceedings and disqualification.
• Appointment subject to final eligibility verification as per Karnataka Civil Services Rules.
