3. Eligibility Criteria
Professor:
- Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with minimum 10 publications in UGC-CARE/NAAS journals.
- Total research score: 120 (UGC 2018 Table 2).
- Minimum 10 years teaching/research experience including guiding doctoral candidates.
- Alternative “Outstanding Professional” route with awards/fellowships is also applicable.
Associate Professor:
- Master’s with 55% marks + Ph.D.
- Minimum 8 years teaching/research experience.
- Minimum 7 publications with total research score 75.
Assistant Professor:
- Bachelor’s + Master’s degree in relevant branch with 55% marks.
- NET/SLET/SET qualified or Ph.D. holder under UGC norms.
- Ph.D. from top 500 foreign universities also eligible.
Relaxation: 5% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD if you are eligible ; 5% for those with Master’s degree before 19.09.1991.
4. Application Procedure
- You can submit duly filled application in prescribed format from BUAT website.
- Submission: By registered/speed post or in person to Director, Administration & Monitoring, BUAT, Banda-210001.
- Application Fee: ₹1,500 (General/OBC), ₹750 (SC/ST/PWD) via Bank Draft or online.
- You are in-service you must apply through proper channel.
- Last date: 11.11.2025 (5:00 PM). Late applications will be rejected.

5. Selection Procedure
Phase I: Screening
- Assessment of Academic/Research Score (UGC 2018, Table 2).
- Merit list published on university website; objections allowed for 7 days via email: buanrecruitment@buat.edu.in.
- Shortlisting ratio: 10 candidates per post, then 5 candidates per additional post.
Phase II: Interview & Final Selection
- If you are shortlisted you are called for interview.
- Assistant Professors undergo teaching skill test (presentation before students).
- Final selection based solely on interview performance.

6. General Instructions
- Only Indian citizens eligible.

- False/fake documents lead to cancellation.
- If you are selected you may be assigned extra duties, including holidays/non-working hours.
