Eligibility Criteria

1. Junior Office Assistant (JOA)

  • Qualification:
    • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
    • Typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer (equivalent to 10,500 KDPH / 9,000 KDPH respectively).
  • Age Limit: Maximum 32 years.

2. Office Assistant / Data Entry Operator (DEO)

  • Qualification:
    • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
    • Minimum two years of relevant experience in Level-2 (7th CPC) in any Central/State Government/University/R&D Institution/Autonomous Body/Public Sector Undertaking.
    • Typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on computer.
  • Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.

Note: Age and qualification shall be determined as of 30 November 2025.

Selection Process

The selection for DTU Non-Teaching posts will be carried out in two stages:

1. Written Test / Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Type: Objective (MCQs)
  • Duration: 2 Hours
  • Total Questions: 200
  • Maximum Marks: 200
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer
  • Language: English only

2. Skill Test

If you are  qualify in the CBT with minimum qualifying marks you will be called for a Skill Test.
This will be of a qualifying nature only (no marks will be added to the final merit list).

Exam Syllabus

The syllabus for both JOA and DEO posts includes:

1. General Awareness

Current Events, History, Polity, Constitution, Geography, Economy, Sports, Art & Culture, Scientific Research, and Organizations (National & International), along with General Financial Rules and Office Procedures.

2. General Intelligence & Reasoning

Analogies, Similarities, Space Visualization, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Visual Memory, Arithmetical Reasoning, and Series Completion.

3. Arithmetical & Numerical Ability

Simplification, Data Interpretation, Ratio & Proportion, Percentages, Profit & Loss, Time & Distance, Time & Work, Simple & Compound Interest, and Mensuration.

4. English Language & Comprehension

Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, Synonyms, Antonyms, and Sentence Structure.


Merit List Preparation

  • The final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the written test (CBT) only.
  • The skill test is qualifying in nature.
  • In case of a tie, the older candidate in age will be given preference.

  • No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the examination.
  • The appointment will be temporary but likely to continue.
  • DTU reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment process at any time.

Reservation Rules

Reservation benefits are applicable you are  belonging to SC, ST, OBC (Delhi), EWS, and PwBD categories as per the rules of the Government of NCT of Delhi.

  • If you are a OBC (Delhi) candidate notified under the GNCTD orders will get the OBC reservation benefits.
  • If you are a EWS you must submit an Income & Asset Certificate issued on or after 01 April 2025.

  • No admit cards or letters will be sent by post.
