Indian Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for Permanent Commission Officer Posts

Vacancy Details

The Indian Navy has announced vacancies in technical branches for eligible candidates.

Women Candidate Reservation

• Maximum 08 vacancies are available for women candidates.
• 04 vacancies in Mechanical Engineering.
• 04 vacancies in Electronics & Communication Engineering.

Special Stream

Based on merit and qualification during training, 07 candidates from Mechanical Engineering may be streamed into:

• Naval Architecture & Shipbuilding (NCW Kochi)

Age Limit

Candidates should be:

Born between 02 July 2007 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive).

Candidates not falling within the prescribed age range will not be eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have:

• Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or equivalent.
• Minimum 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
• Minimum 50% marks in English in either Class X or Class XII.
• Must have appeared in JEE (Main) 2026 for B.E./B.Tech.

The selection process for SSB interview shortlisting will be based on the JEE Main 2026 Common Rank List (CRL) published by NTA.

Who Can Apply?

• Indian Nationals fulfilling nationality conditions prescribed by the Government of India

Candidates who are married or get married during training will be discharged from service and may be required to refund training expenses incurred by the government.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of the following stages:

Stage 1: Shortlisting

• Candidates will be shortlisted based on JEE Main 2026 Common Rank List (CRL).
• Naval Headquarters will decide the cut-off marks for SSB shortlisting.

Stage 2: SSB Interview

Shortlisted candidates will be called for Service Selection Board interviews at:

• Bengaluru
• Bhopal
• Kolkata
• Visakhapatnam

SSB interviews are expected to commence from September 2026 onwards.

Stage 3: Medical Examination

Candidates recommended by SSB will undergo medical examinations as per Indian Navy standards.

No relaxation in medical standards will be permitted.

Final selection will be based on:

• Police Verification
• Character Verification

Training Details

Selected candidates will undergo a four-year B.Tech degree course at:

Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala

Available Engineering Streams:

2. Mechanical Engineering
3. Naval Architecture & Shipbuilding

The B.Tech degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) after successful completion of training.
