The Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has officially released Notification No. 05-PSC (DR-P) of 2026 inviting online applications for the recruitment of Assistant Professor, College Director of Physical Education & Sports, and Librarian posts in Government Degree Colleges under the Higher Education Department, Jammu & Kashmir. The notification was issued on 31 July 2026 and applications will be accepted online from 01 August 2026 to 31 August 2026.

Assistant Professor

• Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations with exemption wherever applicable

Foreign University Ph.D. holders fulfilling prescribed conditions are also eligible.

Librarian

• Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science

College Director of Physical Education & Sports

JKPSC Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process for JKPSC Assistant Professor, College Director of Physical Education & Sports, and Librarian posts will be conducted according to the provisions of the J&K Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure) Rules, 2021, as amended from time to time.
