Graduate Engineer – Grade A

Candidates applying for Graduate Engineer positions must possess a full-time regular B.E./B.Tech./equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by AICTE/UGC.

Assistant Quality Control Officer – Grade A0

Candidates need a Master’s Degree in Chemistry or the specified Chemistry branches. General/EWS/OBC(NCL) candidates require at least 60%, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates require 55%. Branches such as Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Applied Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry are included.

Diploma Engineer – Grade E0

IOCL Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process has three major stages:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
2. Group Discussion (GD) and Group Task (GT)
3. Personal Interview (PI)

The CBT consists of 100 objective questions divided into General Aptitude and Domain Knowledge. General Aptitude contains Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and English Verbal Ability. Domain Knowledge contains 50 questions.

Each question carries one mark and 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer.

CBT Qualifying Marks

Merely qualifying the CBT does not guarantee shortlisting for the next stage. Candidates are shortlisted based on CBT marks in descending order for their respective domain.

Final Merit

The final merit score is calculated using:

The minimum pass requirement for GD/GT and PI is 40%. The composite minimum score is 45% for General/EWS/OBC(NCL), 40% for SC/ST and 30% for PwBD candidates.
