Circle-Wise Vacancies
For the posts of Relationship Manager-Team Lead, Investment Specialist, Investment Officer, VP Wealth and AVP Wealth, vacancies are distributed among SBI circles. SBI Specialist Officer Eligibility Criteria 2026
The eligibility requirements are different for each post. The educational qualification and required professional experience must be possessed as on 31 August 2026.
1. Zonal Head (Retail)
Candidates must be graduates from a Government-recognised University or Institution.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA in Banking/Finance/Marketing with 60%.
- CFP/CFA.
- NISM V-A, NISM Investment Advisor or NISM 21-A certification.
Candidates should have a minimum 15 years of experience in managing sales in Wealth Management, Retail Banking or AMCs. Out of this, at least 5 years should be in leading a large team of Relationship Managers and Team Leads, preferably in Wealth Management firms or AMCs.
2. Regional Head
The minimum educational qualification is graduation from a Government-recognised University or Institution.
Preferred qualifications include an MBA in Banking/Finance/Marketing with 60% and certifications such as CFP, CFA and relevant NISM certifications.
Candidates require 12+ years of post-qualification experience in relationship management, preferably in wealth management with leading public, private or foreign banks, Wealth Management firms or AMCs. At least 5+ years of experience leading a large team of Relationship Managers or Team Leads is required.
3. Relationship Manager – Team Lead
Candidates should be graduates from a Government-recognised University or Institution.
Preferred qualifications include:
- MBA in Banking/Finance/Marketing with 60%.
- CFP/CFA.
- NISM V-A, NISM Investment Advisor or NISM 21-A.
The required experience is minimum 8 years in relationship management, preferably in wealth management with leading public/private/foreign banks, broking or securities firms and AMCs. Team Lead experience is preferred.
4. Investment Specialist
Candidates need a professional qualification in a PG Degree or PG Diploma in Finance, Accountancy, Business Management, Commerce, Economics, Capital Markets, Banking, Insurance or Actuarial Science from a recognised institution, or CA/CFA.
Preferred certifications include CA, CFP, CFA, NISM Investment Advisor, Research Analyst Certificate and NISM 21-A.
Candidates require at least 6 years of post-qualification experience as an Investment Advisor, Counsellor, Officer or part of a product team in Wealth Management firms or AMCs. Knowledge of investments, asset allocation, portfolio management and different asset classes is important.
5. Investment Officer
The educational qualification is similar to the Investment Specialist post, requiring a relevant PG Degree/PG Diploma or CA/CFA.
The candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience as an Investment Advisor, Counsellor, Officer or part of a product team in Wealth Management firms or AMCs.
6. VP Wealth
Candidates must have a graduation degree from a Government-recognised University or Institution.
Preferred qualifications include:
- MBA in Banking/Finance/Marketing with 60%.
- NISM V-A, XXI-A, CFP/CFA certifications.
Candidates require 6 years of experience in sales and marketing with leading public/private/foreign banks, Wealth Management firms or AMCs. Six years of post-qualification experience as a Relationship Manager or similar role in Wealth Management is preferred.
7. AVP Wealth
Candidates must be graduates from a Government-recognised University or Institution.
Preference is given to candidates with post-graduation in Finance, Marketing or Banking. NISM V-A, XXI-A, CFP/CFA certifications are also preferred.
Candidates require 3 years of experience in sales and marketing with leading public/private/foreign banks, Wealth Management firms, AMCs or SBI Wealth CREs having four years of experience. Relevant Relationship Manager or similar Wealth Management experience is preferred.
Important: Teaching and training experience will not be counted for eligibility. Also, experience of less than six months in any organisation is not considered for eligibility.
SBI SCO Salary 2026
The selected candidates will receive annual CTC based on the post, experience, current emoluments and place of posting. The notification specifies the following upper CTC ranges:

SBI Specialist Officer Selection Process 2026
There is no written examination mentioned in the notification. The selection process consists of:

SBI will shortlist candidates based on parameters decided by its shortlisting committee. Merely meeting the minimum educational qualification and experience does not guarantee an interview call.
