The examination will contain 100 questions for 100 marks and the duration will be 2 hours. The paper will generally be in Gujarati, except for English Grammar questions.
Negative Marking
The notification specifies 0.25 marks negative marking for each wrong answer, blank answer, correction/erasure or multiple options marked. However, if a candidate does not wish to answer and marks option E on the OMR sheet, the 0.25-mark deduction will not apply. Candidates scoring zero or below in the OMR competitive examination will not be eligible for document verification.
GSRTC Helper Salary 2026
Selected candidates will initially be appointed to the Helper post on a contractual basis with a fixed monthly salary of ₹21,100.
The fixed-pay arrangement will continue for five years. After satisfactory completion of five years, candidates may become eligible for regular appointment in the applicable basic pay according to the Corporation’s prevailing rules.
