1. MBBS with a medical qualification in the I/II Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule of the IMC Act 1956.

Super-Specialty Subjects:

1. MBBS with qualification from I/II Schedule or Part II of Third Schedule.
2. MD/MS or equivalent.
3. DM/M.Ch (2/3/5/6 years course) or equivalent recognized qualification.

Experience Requirements

Any one of the following:

• 14 years teaching/research experience after MD/MS
• 12 years after DM/M.Ch (2 or 5 years course)
• 11 years after DM/M.Ch (3 or 6 years course)

Note:
For Biochemistry Department: MD (Biochemistry) / MD (Lab Medicine) you are eligible.

For Non-Medical Candidates (PhD)

• PhD in the relevant discipline.
• 14 years teaching/research experience after obtaining the doctorate.

2. Additional Professor – Eligibility Criteria

For Medical Candidates

Qualifications:
Same as Professor (Medical).

Experience Requirements:

Any one of the following:

• 10 years after MD/MS
• 8 years after DM/M.Ch (2 or 5 years)
• 7 years after DM/M.Ch (3 or 6 years)

For Non-Medical Candidates

• PhD degree
• 10 years teaching/research experience post doctorate

3. Associate Professor – Eligibility Criteria

For Medical Candidates

Qualifications: Same as Professor.

Experience Requirements:

• 6 years after MD/MS
• 4 years after DM/M.Ch (2 or 5 years course)
• 3 years after DM/M.Ch (3 or 6 years course)

For Non-Medical Candidates

• PhD
• 6 years experience after PhD

4. Assistant Professor – Eligibility Criteria

For Medical Candidates

Qualifications: Same as Professor.

Experience Requirements:

• 3 years after MD/MS
• 1 year after DM/M.Ch (2 or 5 years)
