CID Bihar Recruitment 2025: Apply Online for 189 Assistant Director and Senior Scientific Assistant Posts
The Crime Investigation Department (CID), Bihar has released a major recruitment notification under Advertisement No. 01/2025 for the appointment of Assistant Directors (Gazetted) and Senior Scientific Assistants (Non-Gazetted) on a temporary contractual basis. The recruitment will be conducted for the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Regional Forensic Science Laboratories, and District Mobile Forensic Science Units across Bihar.
A total of 189 vacancies have been announced, out of which 89 posts are for Assistant Director and 100 posts for Senior Scientific Assistant. The appointment will be for 11 months only, based on prescribed standards and norms.

Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum Age: 21 years (as on 01 October 2025)
- Maximum Age for Retired Officials: 65 years
- You must be medically fit and should have normal vision (6/6 with glasses).
- Color-blind candidates will not be considered.

- Application Fee: ₹100/- per post
The fee can be paid online via payment gateway or through a Demand Draft in favor of:

Selection Process
You will be selected based on the recommendations of the recruitment board constituted by the department.
If you can applies for both Assistant Director and Senior Scientific Assistant, they must submit separate applications for each post. If you can qualifies for both positions, you will be appointed only as Assistant Director based on merit.
Additionally, a waiting list (50% of total vacancies) will be prepared and will remain valid for 11 months.
Reservation
Reservation benefits will be applicable only for you are belonging to Bihar as per the General Administration Department’s order dated 10 September 2024.
You are from outside Bihar you will be treated as General Category.

Other Important Instructions
- The contract period will be 11 months, and the service will automatically terminate after completion of this period.
- You are selected you must report within 7 days of receiving the appointment letter.
- Contract service will not be treated as permanent government service.
- Contract employees will be entitled to casual leave as per Bihar Service Code.
- If you are selected you will sign an agreement form as per Government Resolution dated 22.01.2021.
