Eligibility Criteria for you
1. Post and Service Requirements
You are applying on absorption/deputation basis you must meet one of the following conditions:
- Officers holding analogous posts in Major Ports with a minimum of five years of regular service in the grade.
- Assistant Executive Engineers (Civil) with two years of regular service in the grade and a combined eight years of regular service in the relevant civil engineering disciplines with previous pay scales of Rs. 9,100–15,100 and Rs. 8,600–14,600.
These conditions ensure that you have experience in civil engineering operations within port authorities.
2. Educational Qualifications
You must have a recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed university or institution. Verification of academic qualifications is mandatory, and the degree should be recognized by the competent authority.
3. Age Limit
The age of the candidate will be as per the Recruitment Rules and will be verified as on 17.11.2025, which is the crucial date for determining eligibility. No relaxation in age beyond prescribed rules is permitted unless specified for certain categories.
4. Category and Reservation
You are from all categories, including SC/ST/OBC and UR, are invited. You are claiming reservation youmust produce certificates issued by competent authorities in the prescribed format.
Application Process
The Cochin Port Authority has mandated that applications must be submitted through proper channels only, along with all supporting documents. You must provide the following:
- Prescribed Application Form (Annexure-II): Completed in full and signed by the you.
- Educational and Professional Certificates: Attested copies of all qualifications, including degrees and diplomas.
- ACRs/APARs: Attested copies of Annual Confidential Reports / Annual Performance Appraisal Reports for the last five years.
- No-Objection Certificate (NOC): Issued by the respective port authority.
- Photographs: Two recent passport-size color photographs in a sealed envelope.
- Undertaking: You must declare that they will not withdraw your application if selected.
- Certification by Head of Office: Annexure-III must be completed by the forwarding authority.
- Vigilance/Administrative Clearance: Annexure-IV issued by the concerned Port as per Ministry instructions.
Incomplete applications, or those without the required supporting documents, will not be considered. Even if a you can submits an advance copy, the application will only be valid if received through the proper channel within 15 days after the last date.
Deadline: You must reach the Administrative Office of Cochin Port Authority by 17.11.2025.
Roles and Responsibilities of Executive Engineer (Civil)
The Executive Engineer (Civil) will be responsible for managing civil engineering operations within the port. Key duties include:

- You can coordinating with other engineering departments, contractors, and government bodies.

Terms and Conditions
- Absorption/Deputation Basis: If you are selected you will be absorbed or deputed from other Major Port Authorities.
- Pay and Allowances: Pay will be fixed according to the scale of Rs.50,000–1,60,000 and will be subject to government rules.
- Vigilance Clearance: If you are cleared from the vigilance perspective will be considered.
- No Withdrawal: If you are selected you must not withdraw and must accept posting at Cochin Port Authority.
- Verification of Credentials: All degrees, certificates, and service records must be genuine. Any discrepancy may result in disqualification or termination.
- ACRs/APAR Verification: Past performance reports will be thoroughly verified for eligibility.
- Forwarding Authority: You must be forwarded through the Head of the Office with proper certification.
- Disciplinary Cases: You are with pending disciplinary or criminal proceedings may be disqualified.
- Accommodation: Not provided by the Cochin Port Authority; If you are selected you must arrange your own stay.
