1. Mechanical Engineering

Qualification:

• Degree in the relevant discipline
• Minimum 65% marks from a recognized university

Non-Engineering Disciplines

7. Finance

• Pass in CA (ICAI) or CMA/ICWA

8. Human Resource (HR)

• 2-year MBA / PG Degree / PG Diploma with HR specialization
• Minimum 65% marks

5. Equivalent Engineering Disciplines Accepted

CSL allows specific equivalent engineering branches for certain posts, such as:

• Mechanical → Production, Mechatronics, Automobile, Industrial Engineering
• Electrical → Electrical & Electronics
• Electronics → ECE, Applied Electronics, Instrumentation
• Naval Architecture → Offshore Engineering, Ship Building
• Safety → Fire & Safety Engineering

Only those equivalents explicitly listed in the notification are accepted .

8. Salary, Training Stipend & Career Growth

During Training (1 Year)

• Monthly Stipend: ₹50,000
• Additional stipend up to ₹3,000 per month for extra training hours

After Training – Assistant Manager (E-1 Grade)

Annual CTC: ~₹14.92 Lakhs

The selection process has two phases:

Phase-I: Objective Online Test (60 Marks)

• Duration: 60 minutes
• Total Questions: 60 (No negative marking)

• Subject Knowledge – 40

Phase-II: 40 Marks

• Group Discussion – 10
• Writing Skills – 10
• Personal Interview – 20

Final Merit: 100 Marks

11. Minimum Qualifying Marks

• UR / EWS: 50%
• OBC: 45%
• SC / ST / PwBD: 40%

Only candidates clearing Phase-I are called for certificate verification and Phase-II.
