The Government Medical College (GMC), Rajanna Sircilla, Telangana, has released Notification No. 04/2025 dated 12 November 2025 inviting applications for Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Senior Residents, and CAS Specialists under ICU on a contract / honorarium basis.

These appointments are purely temporary and valid until 31.03.2026, or until the requirement ceases, or until regular recruitment is made — whichever is earlier — as per G.O. Rt. No. 1085, Finance (HRM.VII), dated 29 June 2025.

CAS Specialist (ICU)

• Vacancies: 1
• Specialties Required:
  • Anesthesia
  • General Medicine
  • Pulmonary Medicine

Eligibility Criteria (Post-wise)

Eligibility is as per NMC Medical Institutions Faculty Regulations 2025.

1. Professor

Qualifications & Experience

• 3 years as Associate Professor
• Minimum 2 indexed publications after becoming Associate Professor
• Completed Basic Course in Biomedical Research
• Must undergo medical education training
• Senior Consultant with PG teaching experience also eligible

Registration

• MBBS + Additional PG qualification registered with Telangana State Medical Council (TSMC)

2. Associate Professor

• 4 years experience as Assistant Professor
• For directly appointed APs in govt institutes → 5 years
• Must have 2 indexed publications
• Must complete basic biomedical research course
• Consultants with 10 years govt hospital experience also eligible

3. Assistant Professor

Eligibility can be obtained through any of the following pathways:

• 1 year Senior Residency in relevant subject
  OR
• Tutor/Demonstrator experience considered equivalent
  OR
• Government MO/Consultant with 2 years experience in 220-bed hospital
  OR
• Diploma SRs appointed before 08.06.2017 with 4 years SR experience
  OR
• Diploma holders with 6 years MO experience

4. Senior Resident

• PG Degree: MD/MS/DNB
• OR PG MSc + PhD in Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, etc.
• Upper Age Limit:
  • 45 years (clinical specialties)
  • 50 years (pre- and para-clinical departments)

5. CAS Specialist (ICU)

• MD/MS/DNB/Diploma in the concerned specialty
• Must be registered with TSMC

Eligibility for Non-Medical Faculty (Assistant Professors)

Applicable for Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology.

Minimum qualification:

• M.Sc (Medical) + PhD (Medical)
• Degree must be from a recognized medical college/institute
• Non-medical faculty shall not exceed 30% of total sanctioned posts

Consolidated Monthly Remuneration

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 69 years (as on 01.10.2025)

Selection Criteria

1. Professors & Associate Professors

• Selection based on years of teaching experience in the cadre
• Publications, academic achievements considered
• Interview marks if applicable

2. Assistant Professors

• 75% marks from PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB)
• 10 marks – 1 mark for each year after PG (max 10)
• 10 marks – Publications (2 marks per indexed publication)
• 5 marks – Interview

3. CAS Specialist (ICU)

• 90% – PG Degree marks
• 10% – Experience (1 mark per year)

4. Senior Residents

• 100% weightage to PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB/MCh/DM)

Reservation Policy

• 95% local reservation for Assistant Professors & CAS Specialists (Multizone-I)
• Professors & Associate Professors → State Cadre
• Rule of Reservation applicable

Important Instructions

• Contract engagement does not guarantee government regularization
• Must join within 1 week of appointment order
• Must submit 1-year bond on ₹100 stamp paper
• Contract can be terminated with 1-month notice
• Certificates will be kept in custody till completion of contract
