The Indian Air Force (IAF) has officially released the notification inviting online applications from unmarried Indian male and female candidates for selection as Agniveervayu Intake 01/2027 under the prestigious Agnipath Scheme. About Agniveervayu Scheme
Agniveervayu is a distinct rank in the Indian Air Force introduced under the Agnipath Scheme. If you are selected you are enrolled for four years, after which up to 25% of each batch may be absorbed into the regular cadre of IAF Airmen, based on organisational requirements and performance. The remaining candidates will exit with a Seva Nidhi package of approximately ₹10.04 lakhs.

Age Limit
You must be born between:
01 January 2006 to 01 July 2009 (both inclusive).
Upper age limit on date of enrolment: 21 Years.
Marital Status
Only if you are unmarried (male & female) you are eligible.
You must undertake not to marry during the four-year engagement period. If you are female you must also undertake not to get pregnant during the engagement.
Educational Qualification
Science Subjects
- 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics & English – 50% aggregate & 50% in English
OR - 3-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / IT / CS / Instrumentation) – 50% aggregate & 50% in English
OR - 2-year Vocational Course with Physics & Mathematics – 50% aggregate & 50% in English
Other than Science Subjects
- 10+2 in any stream – 50% aggregate & 50% in English
OR - 2-year Vocational Course – 50% aggregate & 50% in English

Phase-I – Online Test

Phase-II – PFT, Adaptability Test & Document Verification
PFT-I:
1.6 km run – Male: 7 min | Female: 8 min
PFT-II: Push-ups, Sit-ups, Squats as per gender norms.
Phase-III – Medical Examination
Includes Blood tests, Urine tests, Chest X-ray, ECG & specialised investigations. Appeal Medical Board available with ₹40 fee.
