Eligibility Criteria for KVAFSU Recruitment 2025

1. Professor – Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science / Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry
✔ Master’s degree with minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST)
✔ Ph.D. in concerned/allied discipline
✔ Minimum 10 research publications in NAAS-rated / UGC-listed journals
✔ Minimum 10 years teaching/research/extension experience, including 2 years as Associate Professor
✔ Must have successfully guided Ph.D./Master’s students

Kannada Knowledge

Mandatory.
If not studied in SSLC, you must qualify a Kannada Language Test (150 marks) and score minimum 50%.

2. Associate Professor – Eligibility Criteria

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science / Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry
✔ Master’s degree with 55% marks
✔ Ph.D. in relevant/allied discipline
✔ At least 8 years of experience
✔ Minimum 7 publications in NAAS/UGC-listed journals
✔ Kannada language knowledge mandatory (same rules as Professor)

3. Assistant Professor – Eligibility Criteria

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science / Animal Husbandry
✔ Master’s degree with 55% (50% for SC/ST)
✔ Must have NET qualification (UGC/ICAR/CSIR/SET/SLET)
✔ Ph.D. holders may get NET exemption (conditions apply)
✔ Knowledge of Kannada is compulsory
