Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), Bhopal has released the Rule Book and detailed notification for Direct Recruitment Examination 2026 for the following posts:
- Forest Guard (Vanrakshak) – Forest Department
- Jail Prahari – Jail Department
- Assistant Jail Superintendent – Jail Department

Posts & Vacancy Details
1. Forest Guard (Vanrakshak) – 728 Posts
- Pay Scale: Rs. 19,500 – 62,000
- Qualification: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) pass from recognized board
- Department: Forest Department, Government of MP
Reservation is applicable as per MP Government rules including:
- SC
- ST
- OBC
- EWS
- Ex-Servicemen
- Home Guard
- Contract Employees
1% reservation is provided for outstanding sportspersons.
PwD candidates are not eligible for Forest Guard post due to field nature of job.
2. Jail Prahari – Jail Department
This post is under Madhya Pradesh Jail Department and selection will be conducted through the same examination process.

3. Assistant Jail Superintendent
This is an executive-level post under the Jail Department. Selection will be based on written examination and further departmental procedures as prescribed.

Selection Process
