MP Power Generating Company Limited (MPPGCL) has announced a large-scale opportunity for young candidates to join the Satpura Thermal Power Station (STPS), Sarni – District Betul, Madhya Pradesh as Apprentices. The recruitment is purely for training under the Apprentices Act 1961, not for permanent employment.

About MPPGCL & STPS Sarni

MPPGCL is the primary power generation company of Madhya Pradesh.
STPS Sarni is one of India’s oldest and most established thermal power plants, running units of substantial capacity, coal-fired boilers, turbine-generator sets, and auxiliary systems.

The ecosystem at Sarni gives apprentices exposure to real industrial systems:

• Turbine operation
• High pressure boiler management
• Control room operations

Vacancy distribution: Graduate Apprentices (Engineering / Non-Engineering)

Total: 27 seats

Diploma / Technician Apprentices

Total: 25 seats

ITI / Trade Apprentices

Total: 118 seats

Type of Apprenticeships

Graduate Apprentices – B.E/B.Tech/B.A/B.Sc/B.Com
Technician Apprentices – Diploma holders
Trade Apprentices – ITI passed (NCVT/SCVT)

All training is governed under:

• National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS)
• National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS)

Eligibility Conditions

Educational Qualification

1. Graduate Apprentice:
   B.E./B.Tech or full-time degree (BA/B.Sc/B.Com) from a recognized university.
2. Diploma Apprentice:
   Three-year Polytechnic Diploma in relevant engineering branch.
3. Trade Apprentice (ITI):
   ITI certificate from NCVT/SCVT recognized institution.

Pass-out Year Criteria

If you have passed after 2019 you are eligible.

Local Preference

Madhya Pradesh-based candidates get preference under apprenticeship policy.

Stipend (Monthly)

The stipend slabs:

Apprentices are not eligible for PF/ESI/Bonus etc.

During training, no accommodation/food will be provided unless arranged internally.

Training Duration

1 Year Apprenticeship period
(As per Apprentices Act 1961)

Training may be terminated early in case of:

• Misconduct
• Irregular attendance
• Non-performance

5. You can submit application

Applications sent directly to office email will not be considered.

 Important Instructions

You will work under plant discipline—no departmental switch.

You must follow all operational safety regulations.
Accident insurance responsibility lies with candidate.
No job guarantee after completion of apprenticeship.
One apprentice cannot join multiple establishments.
Those previously enrolled as apprentices are not eligible.
Any false document → cancellation.
