About Permanent Lok Adalat
Permanent Lok Adalats are established under Section 22-B of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 to handle disputes related to Public Utility Services. These include services such as:

Eligibility Criteria

Remuneration
- Rs. 2,500 per sitting (Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred only).
- Conveyance allowance as per Government of India Notification No. G.S.R. 312 (E) dated 15 May 2025.
- Honorarium is governed by Government of Maharashtra, Law and Judiciary Department Resolution dated 19 January 2026.
This is a per-sitting remuneration model, not a fixed monthly salary.
Selection Process
The Selection Committee consists of:
- Hon’ble Executive Chairman, MSLSA
- Hon’ble Judges nominated by the Chief Justice, Bombay High Court
- Patron-in-Chief, MSLSA
Selection Method:
- Interview carries 20 marks.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 7.
- Final list subject to approval of Hon’ble Chief Justice, Bombay High Court.
