4. Operation of Posts at Lower Cadre
If you suitable you are not found for Professor or Associate Professor, NIMHANS may operate the post at the lower cadre such as Additional Professor or Assistant Professor respectively. You are wishing to apply for both levels must submit separate applications.
5. Reservation Policy
- Reservation is provided for SC / ST / OBC / EWS / PwBD as per Government of India rules.
- 4% reservation for PwBD candidates is applicable.
- You are from other categories may apply for UR / EWS posts but will be treated as UR candidates only (no relaxations).
- Category once chosen cannot be changed after fee payment.
6. Age Relaxation
Upper age limit relaxation is available for:
- SC / ST / OBC
- PwBD
- Ex-Servicemen
- Central Government In-Service employees
Relaxation is provided strictly as per Government of India rules.
7. Validity of Category Certificates

11. Important Instructions
- No change in reservation category after submission.
- NOC must be uploaded and produced in original at interview.
- You must reach on or before 31-01-2026.
- Reserve list will be valid for 1 year from interview date.
- Jurisdiction of disputes: Bengaluru courts only.
