Administrative Officer (Generalist), Scale-I

This is a managerial, entry-level officer role.
You will be trained to handle:

AO (Hindi / Rajbhasha), Scale-I

Specialist role focusing on language, translation, communication, and compliance.

Key duties:

  • Translate circulars, notices, legal texts, policies to Hindi
  • Support bilingual communication at offices
  • Prepare Hindi correspondence
  • Assist in compliance with Official Language Act
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly bilingual reports
  • Guide employees on using Hindi in official work

Educational Qualification

For AO (Generalist)

You must have:

  • Graduation OR Post Graduation in any discipline with at least 60% (General/OBC/EWS)
  • 55% marks for SC/ST/PwBD

Professional degrees like MBA/CA/LLB are accepted if they meet the above %.


For AO (Hindi / Rajbhasha)

  • Master’s degree in Hindi with English as compulsory or elective subject at Graduation level

  • Master’s degree in English with Hindi as compulsory or elective subject at Graduation level
    OR
  • Master’s degree in Hindi/English with Diploma/Certificate course in translation of English to Hindi & vice versa

Minimum marks:

  • 60% — General/OBC/EWS

  • OBC (Non Creamy Layer) → +3 years
