RWF Act Apprentice Recruitment 2025–26 – 192 Vacancies | Apply Offline

Rail Wheel Factory (RWF), Yelahanka, Bangalore, under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has released a notification dated 28 February 2026 for engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the year 2025–26.

Applications are invited from eligible ITI-qualified candidates for training in various designated trades. The total number of vacancies notified is 192 across multiple technical trades. This engagement is purely for apprenticeship training, and completion of training does not guarantee employment in Indian Railways.

The last date for submission of applications is 01 April 2026.

Reservation and age relaxation are applicable as per Government of India rules.


Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (As on 01 March 2026)

  • Minimum Age: 15 years
  • Maximum Age: 24 years

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years

Candidates seeking reservation must submit caste certificate in Government of India format.


Educational Qualification

Candidates must have:

  • Passed 10th class or equivalent examination with minimum 50% aggregate marks
  • Possess National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the relevant trade issued by NCVT

Mere completion of ITI course without NTC certificate is not sufficient.


Training Period

  • 1 Year for Fitter, Machinist, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Turner, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic
  • 6 Months for CNC Programming cum Operator (COE Group)

Training will follow syllabus prescribed by Central Apprenticeship Council.


Stipend

During the training period:

  • ₹12,261 per month for Fitter, Machinist, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Turner, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic
  • ₹10,899 per month for CNC Programming cum Operator

Stipend will be paid as per existing rules.


Mode of Selection

Selection will be purely based on merit.

Merit List Preparation:

  • Based on percentage of marks obtained in 10th class
  • Minimum 50% aggregate required
  • Marks in all subjects will be considered

Tie-Breaking Rule:

  • Older candidate will be given preference
  • If date of birth is same, candidate who passed 10th earlier will be preferred

No written examination or interview will be conducted.


Application Fee

  • ₹100 processing fee (IPO or Demand Draft)
  • Drawn in favour of Principal Financial Adviser / Rail Wheel Factory

Fee Exemption:

  • SC/ST
  • Physically Handicapped
  • Women Candidates

Applications without fee (where applicable) will be rejected.


How to Apply

Step 1: Download application form (Annexure-A) from website
Step 2: Fill application carefully in prescribed format
Step 3: Attach self-attested copies of required documents
Step 4: Enclose IPO/DD of ₹100 (if applicable)
Step 5: Submit application either:

  • Drop in sealed box at RWF office
    OR
  • Send by Registered Post only

Envelope should be superscribed as:

“Application for undergoing training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the year 2025-26 in Rail Wheel Factory”

Applications must reach before 01 April 2026 (17:00 hrs).

  • 10th marks certificate (minimum 50%)
  • National Trade Certificate (NCVT)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Disability certificate (if applicable)
  • Employment Registration card (for Karnataka candidates)
  • Two passport size photographs
  • Discharge certificate (for Ex-servicemen)
  • Certificate for wards of Railway employees (if applicable)

Original certificates should not be enclosed.

Important Conditions

  • Apprenticeship does not guarantee employment in Railways.
  • Only one application allowed per candidate.
  • Incomplete applications will be rejected.
  • Engineering Graduates/Diploma holders are not eligible.
  • Candidates must meet medical fitness standards prescribed.
  • Any false information will lead to cancellation.

Jurisdiction for disputes will be as per Railway rules.
