Specialist Cadre Officers on Contract Basis

State Bank of India (SBI) has released a prestigious recruitment notification for experienced Wealth Management professionals. This recruitment falls under Advertisement No. CRPD/SCO/2025-26/17, inviting applications from Indian citizens for three high-demand posts:

  1. VP Wealth (SRM)
  2. AVP Wealth (RM)
  3. Customer Relationship Executive

As per the notification:

  • VP Wealth (SRM) – 506 Regular + Backlog vacancies
  • AVP Wealth (RM) – 206 Regular + Backlog vacancies
  • Customer Relationship Executive – 284 Regular + Backlog vacancies

Vacancy distribution includes SC, ST, OBC, EWS, UR categories, including PwBD. The notification provides full category-wise breakup and postings per circle.


Circle-wise Distribution

SBI provides city/circle-based postings. You must select three different circles during online application.
Each circle has positions distributed among the three roles.

For example :

  • BENGALURU: 53 VP, 22 AVP, 29 CRE
  • CHENNAI: 31 VP, 12 AVP, 12 CRE
  • MUMBAI METRO: 57 VP, 13 AVP, 25 CRE
  • NEW DELHI: 36 VP, 27 AVP, 36 CRE
  • HYDERABAD: 19 VP, 11 AVP, 13 CRE

You are required to be flexible with postings; SBI reserves the right to deploy personnel anywhere in India.


VP Wealth (Senior Relationship Manager)

Educational Qualification

  • Mandatory: Graduation from a government recognized university.
  • Preferred: MBA (Banking/Finance/Marketing) with minimum 60%.
  • Extra Weightage: NISM V-A, XXI-A, CFP, CFA certifications.

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years in sales & marketing, preferably in banks, AMC firms, or wealth companies.
  • Experience as a Relationship Manager handling HNI/UHNI portfolio is preferred.

Job Profile

The VP Wealth (SRM) is the core revenue driver for the wealth division. They handle UHNI and affluent portfolios, conduct portfolio reviews, recommend investment solutions, and maintain client relationships.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Increasing CASA balances
  • Managing AUM
  • Cross-selling insurance, PMS, credit cards, SIP, bonds
  • Risk profiling
  • Onboarding wealthy households

The role also involves conducting branch-level seminars to promote investment literacy.


AVP Wealth (Relationship Manager)

Educational Qualification

  • Mandatory: Graduation in any discipline
  • Preferred: Post-Graduation in Finance/Banking/Marketing
  • Certifications like NISM V-A, XXI-A, CFP/CFA highly valued.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years in sales/marketing in wealth firms, banks, AMC.
  • Or 4 years as SBI Wealth CRE.

Role

AVP (RM) is responsible for:

  • Managing affluent/HNI portfolio
  • Increasing TRV (Total Relationship Value)
  • Boosting investment AUM
  • Selling financial products
  • Ensuring compliance

They perform financial need analysis, build client trust, and ensure timely service delivery.


Customer Relationship Executive (CRE)

This is an on-ground support role mostly attached to Relationship Managers.

Qualification

  • Graduation (any discipline)
  • Experience in financial product documentation preferred.
  • Mandatory: Valid two-wheeler driving license.

Responsibilities

  • Couriering and collecting documents
  • Visiting clients (door-step banking)
  • Assisting with onboarding paperwork
  • Supporting service managers across departments

CREs are critical to customer servicing and operational compliance.

Contract period: 5 years + renewable up to 4 years based on performance.
Termination notice: 2 months from either side.


Selection Process

Shortlisting + Interview + CTC negotiation.

  • Bank shortlisting is based on resume, experience, and qualifications.
  • Interview carries 100 marks.
  • You are ranking is based on marks; in case of tie, older candidate gets preference.
  • Final selection is purely performance-based.
