The Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), Tirupati, a State University accredited with an “A+” Grade by NAAC, has officially announced its Academic Consultant Recruitment Notification 2025-26 under Advertisement No. E.II(6)/ACs(SSC)/2025-26, dated 31.10.2025.

The university invites online applications from you are a eligible and qualified  for the engagement of Academic Consultant on a purely temporary and consolidated basis for the academic year 2025–26 only.

This recruitment is being conducted as per the Government of Andhra Pradesh’s G.O.Rt. No.110, Higher Education (UE) Department, dated 06.07.2022.

The SVU Academic Consultant Notification 2025-26 includes vacancies across various self-supporting departments of the university colleges.

Vacancies are purely temporary and may vary depending on departmental requirements.

Minimum Educational Qualifications

You are applying for Academic Consultant positions you must meet the minimum qualifications prescribed by the UGC and AICTE.

For Non-Engineering Disciplines (Management, Science, etc.)

• A Good Academic Record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at the Master’s Degree level from a recognized Indian University.
• Must have cleared NET/SLET/APSET conducted by UGC, CSIR, or a similar accredited test.
• You are holding a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016 are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.

For Engineering Disciplines

• First Class Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Engineering / Technology.
• Desirable:
  • Teaching or industry experience.
  • Research publications in reputed journals or conference papers.

For Pharmacy Discipline

• A basic degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) with registration as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
• First Class M.Pharm in a relevant specialization (Pharmaceutics / Pharmaceutical Chemistry).
• Desirable:
  • Teaching, research, or professional experience.
  • Published research work.

Special Note on Ph.D. and NET Exemptions

If you are a Ph.D. candidate registered before July 11, 2009 are exempted from NET/SLET/SET if they fulfill the following:

1. Ph.D. awarded in regular mode only.
2. Evaluated by at least two external examiners.
3. Open viva-voce conducted.
4. Two research papers published, with at least one in a refereed journal.
5. Two papers presented in UGC/CSIR/ICSSR-sponsored seminars.
6. Certification of compliance issued by the Registrar or Dean (Academic Affairs).

Ph.D. degrees obtained through distance education mode are not accepted.

Selection Process

The selection process for Academic Consultants (2025–26) will be based on:

1. Merit-based Shortlisting of candidates as per qualifications.
2. Scrutiny of Academic Records and Research Output.
3. Interview by a Duly Constituted Selection Committee.
