Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility is different for you are applying as B.Sc Nursing, GNM, or BAMS (Ayush) graduate.

A. Eligibility for B.Sc Nursing Candidates (Integrated BPCCHN Course)

Essential Qualification

1. Completed Integrated BPCCHN included in B.Sc Nursing in 2021 or later.
2. You must be recognized by the West Bengal Nursing Council.
3. You must have a Final Year Examination certificate issued by the University.
4. You must have Registration Certificate / Provisional Registration from WBNC.
5. Age:
   • Up to 40 years as on 1 April 2025
   • Age relaxation as per government norms
6. Proficiency in Bengali language (reading, writing, speaking).
7. Basic Computer Knowledge (MS Office & Internet).

Mode of Posting

CHO will work at SC-SuSwasthya Kendras (Sub-Centres).

B. Eligibility for GNM / Basic B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing

Essential Qualification

1. Passed GNM / B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing before the 2021 batch.
2. You must be recognized by the West Bengal Nursing Council.
3. You must have valid Nursing Registration.
4. You must be up to 40 years of age (1 April 2025).
5. Computer proficiency required.
6. You must know local Bengali language & dialect.

C. Eligibility for BAMS (Ayurveda) Candidates

Essential Qualification

1. Passed BAMS from a recognized institute.
2. You must have valid Registration Certificate from Paschim Banga Ayurved Parishad.
3. Age: Up to 40 years (as on 1 April 2025).
4. You must know Bengali language & dialect.
5. Basic computer knowledge.

Salary for CHO (NHM West Bengal)

Additional Benefits for Trainees

During training, candidates will receive:

• Rs. 10,000/- per month stipend
• Required training materials
• Stipend paid for maximum one month of training

A bond agreement must be signed. Breaking the bond requires paying Rs. 2 lakhs.

The selection procedure consists of:

• Academic Score: 85%
• Interview: 15%
