Essential Qualifications

A. Technical Assistant (Post Code 27–28)

Qualification:

• First Class Diploma in the relevant discipline (Civil / Automobile)
• Diploma must be from a recognized State Board / University / Institution

B. Technician-B (Post Code 29–31)

Qualification:

• SSLC/SSC Pass
• ITI/NTC/NAC in relevant trade from NCVT

Trades Required:

• Electronic Mechanic
• Information Technology
• Electrical

C. Draughtsman-B (Civil)

• SSLC/SSC Pass
• ITI/NTC/NAC in Draughtsman Civil Trade (NCVT)

Age Limit (As on 30.11.2025)

Pay Scale & Salary

Technical Assistant (Level-7):

• Basic Pay: ₹44,900
• DA @ 58%: ₹26,042
• HRA (As per city): applicable
• Transport Allowance: applicable
• Approx Gross: ₹70,942 per month

Technician-B & Draughtsman-B (Level-3):

• Basic Pay: ₹21,700
• DA @ 58%: ₹12,586
• General Allowances: applicable
• Approx Gross: ₹34,286 per month

Pension:

• Under National Pension System (NPS) or Unified Pension Scheme.

Career Progression

ISRO follows a Merit Promotion Scheme, where promotions are based on performance rather than vacancy availability.
If you are skilled you can grow into higher technical grades through periodic Merit-Based Performance Reviews.

• Refund after written test:

  • Others: Refund ₹500 (after deducting fee)

Post Code 29–32:

• Application Fee: ₹100
• Processing Fee: ₹500
• Refund Rules:
  • SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Women: Full refund ₹500
  • Others: Refund ₹400

Payment Mode:

• Through Bharatkosh Portal Only

Refund is made directly to the bank account entered in the application.

Selection Process

Selection is based on:

Stage 1: Written Test (CBT Mode)

• Objective Type
• 80 Marks
• 1.5 hours duration
• Negative marking: –0.33 per wrong answer (only for Technical Assistant)

Stage 2: Skill Test (Qualifying Only)

• Total: 100 Marks
• Minimum Qualifying:
  • UR: 50/100
  • OBC: 40/100
  • SC/ST: 40/100

Final selection is based only on written test marks, for you have  qualify skill test.
