SAC Recruitment 2026 Eligibility
The educational qualification varies according to the post code. Candidates must carefully check the qualification prescribed for the particular post they wish to apply for.
For posts where M.E./M.Tech. is prescribed, candidates require a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA/CPI on a 10-point scale.
For posts where M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech. qualification is prescribed, candidates require a minimum of 65% marks or 6.84 CGPA/CPI on a 10-point scale.
Additional Requirement for JRF Posts
For JRF Post Codes 01 to 07, candidates must also possess one of the prescribed qualifying credentials, such as:
- CSIR-UGC NET, including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship
- GATE
- National-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments, agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.

Research Associates can be engaged for a maximum of three years, while Project Scientist-I positions are initially for one year or the project duration and are co-terminus with the project.
SAC Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process will primarily involve an Interview.
