• Operations Manager (Civil): B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering.

The notification specifically states that apprenticeship, internship, training, dissertation and self-employment during professional courses will not be considered as post-qualification experience.

HITES Recruitment 2026 Experience Required

This recruitment is mainly intended for experienced professionals.

Senior Operations Manager Posts

Generally, 6 years of post-qualification experience is required for Structural, HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing Senior Operations Manager positions.

For example, Structural candidates should have experience in project planning, analysis, design, detailing and execution of structural works. HVAC candidates require experience in HVAC design, installation, execution, testing, commissioning and maintenance.

Electrical and Plumbing positions similarly require relevant infrastructure design and execution experience.

Operations Manager Posts

For Operations Manager (BME) and Quantity Surveyor positions:

• Degree holders – minimum 3 years relevant post-qualification experience.
• Diploma holders – minimum 10 years relevant post-qualification experience.

For Operations Manager (Civil), the same 3 years for degree holders / 10 years for diploma holders requirement applies.

Chief Manager (Civil)

Candidates applying for Chief Manager (Civil) must have at least 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience in project planning, execution and contract management of civil and allied works, particularly large-sized buildings and healthcare projects.

HITES Recruitment 2026 Age Limit

The age limit is calculated as on 01 September 2026.

The notification also provides category-wise age relaxation as per Government of India rules:

• SC/ST – 5 years
• OBC – 3 years
• PwD – 10 years

Additional age relaxation may be considered for exceptionally experienced candidates at the discretion of the Selection Committee.
