ECL Medical Dresser Recruitment 2026 – 31 Vacancies, Eligibility, Selection Process, Apply Date

Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) has released an Internal Notification for selection to the post of Medical Dresser (Trainee) in T&S Grade-E. The recruitment is applicable to eligible permanent departmental employees of ECL. According to the notification, selected employees will undergo one year of training in a Company Hospital. After successful completion of the prescribed training, they will become eligible for regularization as Medical Dresser in T&S Grade-E, subject to the applicable Cadre Scheme and availability of vacancy.

A total of 31 vacancies have been notified for Medical Dresser (Med.) in T&S Grade-E. The category-wise vacancy distribution is 13 UR, 12 SC and 06 ST. The notification has been issued with reference to the MP Budget 2026-27.

ECL Medical Dresser Selection Process

The selection process will be based on a Trade Test conducted by the Medical Department under the supervision of the CMS (I/C), Sanctoria Hospital, ECL HQ.

Candidates who qualify in the Trade Test will be ranked according to their performance in the test. In case of a tie between candidates, the date of birth will be considered for determining seniority/ranking as specified in the notification.

Therefore, eligible employees should prepare properly for the Medical Dresser Trade Test and ensure that all required documents and clearances are available before the application is forwarded.

Training and Regularization

Selected trainees will receive training for one year in a Company Hospital. During the training period, the selected employees will continue to carry their original designation, grade and category.

After successfully completing the prescribed training, the selected trainees will become eligible for regularization as Medical Dresser (Medical) in T&S Grade-E, subject to the Cadre Scheme and availability of vacancy.

The notification further states that selected candidates may be posted in any Area/Unit of ECL and may also be transferred to different Areas of ECL during their service period.
