Candidates should not assume that every Engineering degree is automatically eligible. The notification contains detailed lists of acceptable equivalent Engineering streams under each core stream. Only the streams specifically mentioned in the notification are accepted.Â
Indian Army TGC-145 Eligibility Criteria
1. Nationality
A candidate must satisfy the nationality conditions prescribed in the notification. This includes Indian citizens and certain other categories specified by the Government of India, subject to the applicable eligibility certificate requirements.

2. Gender and Marital Status

- M.Sc Computer Science
in the Engineering streams/equivalent streams notified in the TGC-145 notification.
Candidates with Engineering degrees obtained from foreign countries are not eligible for this course.Â
Final-Year Students
Final-year Engineering students can also apply, subject to the conditions mentioned in the notification.
They must submit proof of passing the Engineering Degree Examination along with marksheets of all semesters/years by 1 July 2027. They must also produce the Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from commencement of training at IMA.
Candidates whose final-year/final-semester results will be declared after 1 July 2027 are not eligible for this course.Â

During training, Officer Cadets receive a fixed stipend of:
₹56,100 per month
The notification states that this corresponds to the starting pay in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix. After successful commissioning, the Lieutenant rank carries a pay scale of ₹56,100–₹1,77,500, along with applicable allowances.
