NIT Raipur Recruitment 2026 –  37 Non-Faculty Posts, Apply Online

NIT Raipur Recruitment 2026: National Institute of Technology Raipur (NIT Raipur) has released a recruitment notification for 37 Non-Faculty posts under regular appointment. The vacancies are available for posts including Superintendent, Technical Assistant, Senior Assistant, Senior Technician, Technician and Office Attendant. The official recruitment notice is dated 29 September 2026 and applications are invited from Indian Nationals through the online recruitment portal.

NIT Raipur Recruitment 2026 Eligibility

Eligibility differs according to the post. Candidates must satisfy the required qualification and age limit as applicable to the post they are applying for.

1. Superintendent

Vacancies: 4
Pay Level: Level-6
Age Limit: 30 years

Candidates should have either:

• First Class Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute; or
• Master’s Degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade.

Candidates should also have knowledge of computer applications, particularly Word Processing and Spreadsheet. 

2. Technical Assistant

Vacancies: 13
Pay Level: Level-6
Age Limit: 30 years

The qualification varies according to the specialization.

Examples include:

• Applied Geology – First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Geology or Master’s Degree in Geology/Applied Geology with at least 50%.
• Architecture & Planning – First Class/equivalent B.E./B.Tech. in specified relevant disciplines.
• Biotechnology – First Class B.E./B.Tech. in Biotechnology or M.Sc. Biotechnology with at least 50%.
• Chemical Engineering – First Class B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering.
• Chemistry – M.Sc. Chemistry with at least 50%.
• Civil Engineering – First Class B.E./B.Tech. Civil Engineering.
• Computer Science & Engineering – First Class B.E./B.Tech. CSE/IT or MCA, with specified diploma alternative.
• Metallurgical & Materials Engineering – specified B.E./B.Tech. or diploma qualifications.
• Physics – M.Sc. Physics with at least 50%.

3. Senior Assistant

Vacancy: 1
Pay Level: Level-4
Age Limit: 33 years

Educational qualification:

• Senior Secondary (10+2) from a recognized board.
• Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute.
• Proficiency in Computer Word Processing and Spreadsheet. 

4. Senior Technician

Vacancy: 1
Pay Level: Level-4
Age Limit: 33 years

For Chemistry, candidates should have:

• Senior Secondary (10+2) with Science and Chemistry as one of the subjects.
• At least 60% marks from a Government-recognized board.

5. Technician

Vacancies: 15
Pay Level: Level-3
Age Limit: 27 years

The qualification varies by department. Depending on the specialization, candidates may require 10+2 with specified marks and ITI qualification, a relevant three-year diploma, or other specified combinations.

The notification covers specializations including Architecture & Planning, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Applications, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering and Mining Engineering.

6. Office Attendant

Vacancies: 3
Pay Level: Level-1
Age Limit: 27 years

Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) from a recognized board.

Age Relaxation

The notification provides applicable age relaxation according to Government of India rules. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates for posts reserved for these categories.

For OBC-NCL candidates, the notification specifies that the certificate should be issued on or after 01 April 2026. The EWS certificate should also be issued on or after 01 April 2026. PwBD candidates are eligible for the specified additional age relaxation under applicable rules. 

NIT Raipur Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process depends on the post.

Superintendent and Senior Assistant

The selection consists of:

1. Screening Test
2. Skill Test – qualifying in nature

The merit list is prepared based on marks obtained in the Screening Test, while the Skill Test is qualifying only. 

Technical Assistant, Senior Technician, Technician and Office Attendant

For these posts, the notification specifies Screening Test only, with merit based on marks obtained in the Screening Test. 

NIT Raipur Exam Pattern 2026

The Screening Test consists of:

For most posts, Part-A covers General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Knowledge & Computer Awareness, and English Language & Comprehension. Part-B focuses on domain knowledge relevant to the post/specialization. 

For Office Attendant, Part-A consists of General Awareness & Reasoning, while Part-B includes Numerical Ability, English, Hindi and Computer Awareness. 

Skill Test

For Superintendent, the Skill Test includes Word Processing and Spreadsheet proficiency and is qualifying in nature.

For Senior Assistant, the skill test includes:

• Minimum typing speed of 35 w.p.m.
• Computer Word Processing
• Spreadsheet proficiency

The notification also provides detailed instructions regarding typing tests, error calculation and proficiency tests. 

Application Fee

The fee includes GST as specified in the notification. The application fee is non-refundable. Candidates applying for multiple posts or more than one specialization must submit separate applications and pay the applicable fee separately.

The notification specifically requires the photograph, signature, thumb impression and handwritten declaration in prescribed formats. 

The photograph should preferably be 200 × 230 pixels and between 20 KB and 50 KB. The signature should be in the prescribed format, and the left thumb impression should be clear and properly scanned. The handwritten declaration must be written by the candidate in English and uploaded as specified.
