IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 –  335 Vacancies for Trade, Technician & Graduate Apprentices – Apply Online

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Marketing Division, Western Region has released a notification for the engagement of Trade, Technician and Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act. The notification is applicable to locations in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. The official advertisement is dated 05 October 2026. 

Candidates with ITI, Diploma, 12th and Graduate qualifications can apply for the relevant apprenticeship disciplines. The apprenticeship training period is 12 months. Selection will be based on merit, and there will be no written examination or interview. 

Eligible candidates must register on the appropriate NAPS/NATS portal and apply for the IOCL Western Region apprenticeship opportunity before the deadline.

IOCL Apprentice Vacancy 2026

The notification covers apprenticeship opportunities across seven states/UT locations in the Western Region. The disciplines include Technician Apprentice, Trade Apprentice, Graduate Apprentice and Data Entry Operator-related apprenticeship opportunities. 

State-Wise Vacancy Details

The vacancy figures are tentative, and reservation is applicable as specified in the official notification. The notification also states that PwBD reservation for eligible disciplines will be applied horizontally according to Government guidelines. 

IOCL Apprentice Posts 2026

Candidates can apply for only one Discipline Code. Applying for more than one Discipline Code will result in rejection of the applications.

IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility

Educational Qualification

For Technician Apprentice posts, candidates must possess a 3-year regular full-time Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline. Generally, candidates belonging to General, EWS and OBC-NCL categories require a minimum of 50% marks, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates applying for reserved positions require 45% marks. 

For Trade Apprentice posts such as Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic and Machinist, candidates must have Matriculation/10th qualification along with a regular full-time 2-year ITI course in the relevant trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT. 

For Graduate Apprentice, candidates should possess a regular full-time graduation in BA, B.Com, B.Sc or BBA, with the prescribed minimum percentage. 

For Data Entry Operator, candidates should have passed Class 12 but should not be graduates. For the Skill Certificate Holder category, candidates additionally need a Domestic Data Entry Operator Skill Certificate of less than one year issued by a recognized awarding body under the National Skill Qualifications Framework or another authority recognized by the Central Government. 

Part-time, correspondence and distance-learning qualifications are not accepted for the notified disciplines. 

Qualification Passing Period

An important condition is the qualification cut-off period:

• Graduate & Technician Apprentices: Qualification acquired between 01-04-2023 and 30-09-2026
• Trade Apprentices/ITI/Data Entry Operator: Qualification acquired between 01-04-2022 and 30-09-2026.

IOCL Apprentice Age Limit 2026

The minimum age is 18 years, while the maximum age is 24 years as on 30-09-2026.

IOCL Apprentice Stipend 2026

The apprenticeship training period is 12 months. The stipend payable to apprentices will be as prescribed under the applicable Apprentices Act and Apprentices Rules, as amended from time to time. The notification does not specify a single fixed stipend amount in the advertisement. 

Therefore, applicants should not assume a specific monthly stipend unless it is confirmed through the applicable apprenticeship rules or official IOCL communication.

IOCL Apprentice Selection Process 2026

One of the important features of this recruitment is that there is no written examination and no interview.

The selection process is as follows:

1. Candidates must successfully register on the applicable NAPS/NATS portal.
2. Candidates must apply against the IOCL Western Region opportunity.
3. IOCL will prepare a merit list from eligible applicants.
4. Merit will be prepared based on marks obtained in the prescribed essential qualification.
5. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
6. Candidates must undergo the prescribed pre-engagement medical fitness process.
7. Candidates whose documents and medical fitness are found satisfactory will receive the apprenticeship engagement offer.

This means candidates should pay particular attention to their educational marks because the merit list is prepared based on the percentage obtained in the prescribed qualification.
