RRB NTPC Graduate Recruitment 2026 – CEN 06/2026

RRB NTPC Graduate Recruitment 2026: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), Ministry of Railways, Government of India, have released Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) No. 06/2026 for recruitment to various Non-Technical Popular Categories (Graduate) posts. A total of 3,548 vacancies are available for eligible graduate candidates across different RRBs and Railway Zones. The online application process starts on 08 October 2026 and the last date to apply is 06 November 2026 up to 11:59 PM. 

The recruitment includes posts such as Chief Commercial Cum Ticket Supervisor, Goods Train Manager, Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist and Senior Clerk Cum Typist. The initial pay ranges from ₹29,200 to ₹35,400, depending on the post and Pay Level. Candidates should carefully check the post-wise qualification, age, medical standards, RRB preference and vacancy details before submitting the application.

The notification states that applications must be submitted online only and that candidates should check Annexure A and Annexure B before applying. 

RRB NTPC Vacancy 2026

Under CEN 06/2026, the Railway Recruitment Boards have announced 3,548 vacancies for four graduate-level posts.

The detailed RRB-wise and Railway Zone-wise vacancy distribution is provided in Annexure B of the official notification. Vacancies are provisional and may be increased, decreased or revised according to Railway requirements. 

RRB NTPC Graduate Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates should satisfy the prescribed eligibility requirements before submitting the online application.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the notified graduate-level NTPC posts must possess a Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent. The qualification must already have been obtained by the closing date of the online application.

Candidates who are waiting for the results of their final examination are not eligible to apply.

RRB NTPC Age Limit 2026

The age of candidates will be calculated as on 01 January 2027.

The prescribed age group is 18 to 33 years for the notified posts, subject to applicable category-wise relaxation. 

Age Relaxation

Additional age relaxations are available for certain Ex-Servicemen, Railway employees and other eligible categories as specified in the notification. Candidates claiming relaxation must possess the required certificates in the prescribed format. 

RRB NTPC Application Fee 2026

The examination fee varies according to the candidate’s category.

For candidates paying ₹500, ₹400 will be refunded after appearing in the 1st Stage CBT, after applicable bank charges.

For eligible candidates who pay ₹250, the fee will be refunded after appearing in the 1st Stage CBT, after applicable bank charges. 

The fee must be paid online through Internet Banking, Debit/Credit Card or UPI. 

RRB NTPC Selection Process 2026

The RRB NTPC Graduate recruitment selection process consists of:

1. 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 1)
2. 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 2)
3. Document Verification
4. Medical Examination
5. Final Empanelment/Appointment

The notification specifically states that the recruitment process involves CBT 1, CBT 2 and Document Verification/Medical Examination, with selection based on merit. 

CBT 1 Exam Pattern

Duration: 90 minutes

PwBD/PwD candidates eligible for a scribe will get 120 minutes.

There will be 1/3 mark negative marking for every wrong answer. CBT 1 is primarily a screening examination, and normalized marks are used for shortlisting candidates for CBT 2. 

CBT 2 Exam Pattern

Duration: 90 minutes.

There is also 1/3 negative marking in CBT 2. The normalized CBT 2 score is used for shortlisting candidates for Document Verification.

The minimum qualifying percentages specified in the notification are 40% for UR and EWS, 30% for OBC-NCL and 30% for SC, and 25% for ST, subject to the conditions mentioned in the notification. 

Important Update: Typing Test

For CEN 06/2026, the notification states that the typing skill test for Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist and Senior Clerk Cum Typist has been dispensed with. Candidates are nevertheless expected to possess basic computer and typing proficiency, which may be assessed after joining. 

RRB NTPC Salary 2026

The salary/pay level depends on the post.

The actual monthly salary will depend on applicable allowances, deductions, posting location and Railway service rules. The notification specifies the initial pay under the 7th CPC.

Eligible candidates can apply online through the official RRB application portal.

Visit the official RRB website and read CEN No. 06/2026 carefully.

Candidates must create an RRB account if they do not already have one. Candidates who created an account during earlier RRB CENs are required to use the same account credentials.

Step 3

Enter personal details, educational qualification, category and other required information.

Select only one RRB and provide preferences for eligible Railway Zones/Units and posts.

Candidates must be extremely careful while selecting the RRB because the chosen RRB cannot subsequently be changed. Multiple applications can result in rejection and debarment. 

Step 5

Upload the required photograph/live image, signature and other documents according to the prescribed specifications.

Step 6

Pay the applicable examination fee online.

Step 7

Preview the application carefully and submit it before the deadline.

Step 8

Save/download the final application and payment confirmation for future reference.

The notification advises candidates to complete their applications well before the closing date because heavy website traffic may occur during the final days.
