The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has officially released the Graduate & Diploma Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27 Notification for the Western Region. The recruitment is being conducted under the Apprentices Act, 1961/2014/2025 to engage eligible Graduate and Diploma holders for one year of apprenticeship training. AAI is a Miniratna Category-I Public Sector Enterprise responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing civil aviation infrastructure across India. Apprentices selected under this recruitment will receive practical industry exposure while working at various airports under the Western Region.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the required qualification in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

Graduate Apprentice

• B.Com or BBA (Finance)
• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunication
• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering
• Graduate Degree with computer knowledge (HR)

Diploma Apprentice

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering

Candidates must have obtained minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). Degree/Diploma should be from an AICTE-recognized institution.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must satisfy the following eligibility conditions:

• Must be a domicile of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, or UT of Diu.
• Should reside near the airport location under the Western Region.
• Must have passed the Degree/Diploma on or after 01 April 2022.
• Candidates awaiting final results may also apply, subject to producing the final certificate before joining.
• Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training in the same qualification level are not eligible.
• Candidates having one year or more of work experience after obtaining the qualification are also not eligible.

Age Limit

The age of applicants should be:

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST – 5 Years
• OBC (NCL) – 3 Years
• As per Government Rules for other reserved categories.

Monthly Stipend

Selected apprentices will receive the following monthly stipend:

The stipend consists of the establishment share and Government share through BOAT, with the Government portion credited directly to the apprentice’s registered bank account via DBT.

Training Duration

The apprenticeship training period will be One Year. No request for change of training location will be entertained after selection.

AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the AAI Graduate & Diploma Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will be carried out based on merit and document verification. There is no written examination for this recruitment.

The selection process consists of the following stages:

1. Shortlisting based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying Degree/Diploma examination.
2. Interview and Document Verification for shortlisted candidates.
3. Submission of a Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a Gazetted Government Medical Officer or a Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking.
4. Submission of a Police Verification Certificate from the candidate’s place of residence.
5. Final selection after successful verification of all required documents. Shortlisted candidates will be informed through their registered email ID only.
