About BC Sakhi

Through this scheme, trained women from Self Help Groups are appointed as Banking Correspondents to provide basic banking services within their villages.

The BC Sakhi uses mobile applications, handheld devices, and digital platforms to offer banking facilities such as cash deposits, withdrawals, balance inquiries, fund transfers, and opening of bank accounts. The initiative helps villagers access banking services without visiting distant bank branches.

The scheme has proven highly successful in promoting digital banking and financial literacy among rural households. It also creates sustainable livelihood opportunities for women by enabling them to earn commissions from banking transactions.
