The Defence Electronics Applications Laboratory (DEAL), Dehradun, one of the premier laboratories under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has officially released the DRDO DEAL Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27 Notification. The recruitment invites online applications from eligible Indian candidates for One-Year Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992.
This recruitment offers apprenticeship opportunities for Graduate Engineers, Diploma Holders, and ITI Pass candidates in various engineering disciplines and technical trades. A total of 77 apprenticeship vacancies have been announced. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as per Government of India apprenticeship norms.

Note:
- 50% stipend will be paid by DEAL.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the following conditions:
- Must be an Indian Citizen.
- Qualification should be from a recognized Board/University.
- Candidates must have passed qualifying examination during 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026.
- Candidates awaiting results are not eligible.
- Only regular mode candidates are eligible.
- Candidates possessing higher qualification are not eligible.
- Candidates having one year or more work experience after qualification are not eligible.
- Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training are not eligible.
- PwBD candidates are eligible only for designated trades.
- Candidates must fulfil all apprenticeship eligibility conditions.

DEAL reserves the right to adopt its own shortlisting method depending upon the number of applications received.
