Eligibility Criteria
ITI Candidates
Candidates applying for the ITI apprentice positions must have passed ITI in the respective trade from an NCVT/SCVT-recognized institute. Candidates who have already registered as apprentices in another company or have already completed apprenticeship training are not eligible.
Registration on the NAPS portal is mandatory. Candidates must obtain their NAPS Registration Number and mention it in the HAL application form.
Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
Engineering Graduate, Diploma and Non-Technical Graduate Candidates
For Graduate/Diploma/Non-Technical Graduate apprentices, candidates must have passed their qualifying Degree/Diploma during 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 and must possess the required passing certificate on the date of application.
Candidates whose status is “Appearing” or “Result Awaited” are not eligible. Candidates with pending back papers or awaited supplementary examination results are also not eligible.
Candidates who have already registered for or completed apprenticeship training at another establishment are not eligible.
Candidates must also register on the NATS portal and obtain the required Student ID/Enrollment ID before filling the HAL application form.
Reservation
Reservation will be applicable according to the Apprenticeship Act, Government of India and HAL guidelines.

For PwD candidates, the notification states that the disability percentage should not be less than 40%. OBC candidates must produce the required Non-Creamy Layer and caste certificates in the Central Government format. EWS candidates must produce a valid Income and Asset Certificate issued by the competent authority.
Stipend Details
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend according to their category.
For Engineering Graduates and Non-Technical Graduates, the stipend is ₹12,300 per month, while Diploma apprentices will receive ₹10,900 per month.
For ITI apprentices, the stipend is ₹11,040 per month for the specified two-year trades and ₹10,560 per month for the specified one-year trades.
For the NATS category, 50% of the stipend is paid by the company and the remaining 50% is paid by BOAT through DBT into the candidate’s Aadhaar-seeded bank account. HAL also states that its 50% share is paid into an SBI savings bank account.
Selection Process
The recruitment is for apprenticeship training and does not involve a regular written examination as specified in these notifications.

For ITI Candidates
Step 1: Register on the Government of India NAPS portal with your SSC/10th and ITI education details.
Candidates must complete their profile and obtain the NAPS Registration Number. The notification states that the registration number generally begins with “A0”.
Step 2: After obtaining the registration number, open the HAL ITI application form.
