• National Trade Certificate (NTC)
• National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC)
• National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC) wherever applicable
• Relevant teaching or industrial experience as mentioned for the trade

Most Degree/Diploma candidates are required to obtain the National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC) within three years of appointment if not already possessed.
