Bank of India Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 205 Specialist Officer Posts

Bank of India Recruitment 2026: Bank of India (BOI) has released Project No. 2026-27/02 dated 01 August 2026 for recruitment of Officers in various Specialist Streams up to Scale IV. A total of 205 vacancies are available across Scale I, Scale II, Scale III and Scale IV. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online from 10 September 2026 to 25 September 2026 through the official Bank of India website.

BOI has announced 205 vacancies across 48 specialist positions. The largest number of vacancies is available in Scale II Manager-level posts with 118 vacancies, followed by Scale III with 49 vacancies, Scale I with 28 vacancies, and Scale IV with 10 vacancies.

There are 118 Scale II vacancies in 22 specialist posts, including Full-Stack Engineering, BRE/LOS/Decisioning Engineering, Digital Platforms, Application Support & Operations, Infrastructure Operations, IT System Administrator, Performance Testing, Automation Testing, IT Procurement Specialist, IT Project Manager, Business Analysis, Data Analytics, DevSecOps Engineering, UI/UX Design, Emerging Technology & Innovation, Solution & Technology Architecture, Database Administration, Information Security, IT Officer with CISA/CISM/CISSP, Law Officer, Fire Officer and Security Officer.

Scale I – Officer

The Scale I posts have age limits generally ranging from 21–30 years, while Civil Engineer has an age range of 25–30 years.

Educational Qualification and Eligibility

Candidates must satisfy the post-specific educational qualification, professional certification and work-experience requirements mentioned for the particular position. The main notification specifically directs candidates to Annexure-I for the detailed eligibility criteria.

Therefore, candidates should not apply merely because they possess a general graduation or engineering degree. They must check the exact requirements for the selected specialist stream before submitting the application.

Important eligibility conditions include:

• The relevant age and qualification date is 01 August 2026.
• Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification and experience for the post.

• Candidates who previously held a similar post in Bank of India are not eligible.

Age Relaxation

The prescribed certificates must be produced at the interview or at any subsequent stage when required by the Bank.

Selected candidates will also be required to deposit a security amount, refundable after three years of satisfactory service, subject to the conditions specified in the notification: ₹1 lakh for JMGS-I, ₹2 lakh for MMGS-II and ₹3 lakh for MMGS-III and above.

Application Fee

The application fee/intimation charges are non-refundable.

The fee includes GST, while applicable bank transaction charges are to be borne by the candidate. Fee payment is available from 10 September 2026 to 25 September 2026.

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted through Online Examination and/or Personal Interview, depending on the number of applicants and eligible candidates.

Online Examination

English is qualifying in nature and its marks are not included in the merit list. The minimum qualifying marks are 35% for General/EWS candidates, with a 5% relaxation for eligible SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates applying against reserved vacancies.

There is also a 1/4 mark penalty for every wrong answer in the objective tests. No penalty is imposed for unanswered questions.

Personal Interview

The interview carries 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks are:

• General/EWS: 50%
• SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates against reserved vacancies: 45%

Normally, candidates may be called for interview in a ratio of 1:3 to the number of vacancies, although the Bank may modify this ratio.

If both the online examination and interview are conducted, the final weightage is:

Online Examination : Interview = 60 : 40

If the Bank decides not to conduct the online examination, final selection may be made through the personal interview alone.
