English is qualifying in nature and its marks are not included in the merit list. The minimum qualifying marks are 35% for General/EWS candidates, with a 5% relaxation for eligible SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates applying against reserved vacancies.
There is also a 1/4 mark penalty for every wrong answer in the objective tests. No penalty is imposed for unanswered questions.
Personal Interview
The interview carries 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks are:
- General/EWS: 50%
- SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates against reserved vacancies: 45%
Normally, candidates may be called for interview in a ratio of 1:3 to the number of vacancies, although the Bank may modify this ratio.
If both the online examination and interview are conducted, the final weightage is:
Online Examination : Interview = 60 : 40
If the Bank decides not to conduct the online examination, final selection may be made through the personal interview alone.
