Vacancy Details

The recruitment has been announced for a total of 60 Scaffolder Trainee seats distributed among various reservation categories.

CSL reserves the right to increase, decrease, or cancel the vacancies depending on organizational requirements. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are not eligible to apply due to the nature of the work involving heights and heavy material handling.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the Scaffolder Trainee post must satisfy the following educational criteria:

• Minimum Qualification: Pass in 10th Standard (SSLC).
• Maximum Qualification: Pass in 12th Standard only.
• Candidates possessing ITI, Diploma, Degree, or any higher qualification are NOT eligible to apply.
• Applicants must also satisfy the physical requirements prescribed by Cochin Shipyard Limited.

Age Limit

Applicants should fulfill the following age criteria:

Age Relaxation

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years
• SC/ST: 5 Years

Age will be calculated as on 22 July 2026, the closing date of online application.

Training Period and Stipend

Candidates selected as Scaffolder Trainees will undergo three months of training.

After successful completion of training, depending upon organizational requirements, availability of vacancies, and individual performance, trainees may be considered for contractual appointments.

During the first year of contract, selected candidates will receive:

• Monthly Consolidated Pay: ₹20,100
• Annual increment in subsequent years.
• Additional payment for extra working hours beyond normal duty hours.

The application fee should be paid only through the online payment gateway using Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking. The fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process

Selection will be carried out through the following stages:

2. Certificate Verification.
3. Physical Test (100 Marks).
