Candidates should have passed the Final Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

For the M&HS cadre, FTE-II provides consolidated pay of ₹94,200 per month, with a maximum age of 40 years, 3 years’ experience and required current/last monthly gross salary of ₹50,000.
Experience is counted from the date of obtaining the prescribed basic/essential qualification. Training, consultancy, teaching, fellowship, internship, apprenticeship and academic project experience will not be counted as experience.
